It allows users to create certificates of origin under free-trade agreements such as NZCFTA (NZ-China), AANZFTA (ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand), RCEP, NZ-UAE (NZ-United Arab Emirates) among self-declaration and non-preferential origin documentation.
It integrates with NZ Customs API to send relevant data for the certified documents for automatic processing.
Submissions into the system can also be made using a bespoke RESTful API.
The approval and certification workflow involves placing and positioning stamps on the final documents and generating protected PDF files. (They previously used another tool called EssCert for this part of the process)
